Taking this course has been a great blessing, the combination of recorded teaching, course notes and live Q&A sessions worked very well. It was quite demanding keeping pace whilst working full time, but well worth the effort. Ron Herms is excellent as the course teacher.

Most excellent. Challenging, convicting, encouraging and definitely spurs one on to live a life of wisdom in this present age. Although content is deep, presentation is clear and illustrative Scriptural references are very helpful for documentation and further study.

In the past I have known the letter of James as a collection of practical points on living the Christian life. This course helped us see how these teachings fit together as part of a sustained argument.

I liked and was challenged by the emphasis of following James' directives for the church to be the church in the world around us. Often we apply what James says to us individually and don't follow through. E.g., how we speak, how care for others, how we treat those who don't know Jesus. It's difficult. However, Dr. Ron and James W aimed us toward the corporate, each of us in community living it out as a community. What a difference would be made when the church is and behaves as the church. Secondly, I appreciated the emphasis of us individually living out what God puts in us by the power of the Holy Spirit who resides in us. We can't do it in our power, by he empowers us. Praise Yeshua!

Personally, I was deeply challenged and better equipped to continue—in the power of Jesus' Spirit—practicing wisdom for a life that manifests God's justice.

This study fed my soul. Dr. Ron Herms and James Whitman are very humble, full of wisdom and positive. Dr. Ron's statement that God created us in the image of Himself, makes me think about ways that I want to treat those around me, as His image, with Justice (mishpat)and Righteousness. (tzedakah). I am looking forward to another study with them! I praise our Lord for such compassionate and true men of God. Thank you for all of the time you put in for helping God's people to know Him in a much deeper way.

Very well presented, the message of the hour for me and the church at large. I look forward to going through it a second time. We are in dire need of our covenant roots even in a N.T. Book that seems so straight forward. Thank you Ron and James.

I am finding this material to be really life changing for me. I had a very limited understanding of wisdom in the past, yet this is something that I have always desired. This course has transformed how I think about wisdom and essentially how I should be living my life. I am so thankful for Dr. Ron Herms, GOD has blessed him with great understanding of this book and the whole bible. I hope he offers more courses.
